About the Practice

My client is a highly respected, RCVS-accredited small animal practice that has been caring for pets in the Basingstoke area for over 20 years. With a reputation for excellence and a strong, experienced team, they are now looking for a Clinical Director to lead the practice into its next chapter.

Role and Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing clinical services, guiding and supporting the team, and working closely with management to drive both clinical and commercial success. You’ll play a key role in shaping the culture of the practice, encouraging continuous improvement, and fostering a positive, collaborative working environment where both staff and patients thrive.

Facilities and Accreditation

The practice is equipped to a high standard, with a newly installed ultrasound machine, digital x-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope, in-house lab, and a fully equipped dental suite. With two surgical theatres and separate dog and cat wards, the team is well-prepared to deliver high-quality care across a broad range of cases. They are proud to hold ISFM Silver Cat Friendly and Dogs Trust Dog Friendly accreditations.

Work Schedule

Work-life balance is a genuine priority here. The role is full-time over four days per week with no out-of-hours and just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. The daily schedule includes protected time for administrative duties, ensuring your day is well-structured and manageable. Regular team-building activities and CPD opportunities help create a positive, fulfilling work culture.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and compassionate leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding care.
