Job description

About the Role

As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you'll lead, support, and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in nine of our care homes: two in North Yorkshire, four in Lancashire, two in Cumbria, and one in Dumfries.

You'll support the performance of each home to ensure it meets the highest clinical standards. This includes reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs monthly, analyzing results, and developing strategies to meet regulations and improve care quality.

Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff, you'll support standards improvement and implement key actions to resolve issues. Your responsibilities may include organizing training, attracting senior clinical staff, or conducting clinical investigations. Your leadership and passion will make a significant difference to our residents.

Due to the regional scope, regular travel is essential.

About You

To join us, you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration, with evidence of ongoing professional development and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.

You should have experience working in a care home environment and be confident in mentoring nurses, including newly qualified ones. Your leadership, analytical skills, ability to share knowledge, and relationship-building skills are vital for delivering results.

Rewards Package

We offer a competitive salary and one of the best rewards packages in the care sector, including:

  • Company car, mobile phone, and laptop
  • Free learning and development opportunities
  • Holiday, retail, and leisure discounts
  • Nurse Mentor and Refer a Friend bonus schemes
  • Offer to pay Skilled Worker visa application fee for eligible nurses (terms and conditions apply)

If you're eager to apply your clinical and leadership skills in a caring organization committed to quality, we welcome your application.
