ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Divisional Clinical Development Nurse (RGN) at Barchester, you’ll lead, support, and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in our complex care homes across England.
You will be responsible for supporting each home's performance to ensure it meets the highest clinical standards. This includes reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs monthly, analyzing results, and implementing practical strategies to meet regulations and enhance care quality.
You will work closely with the Managing Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff to promote continuous standards improvement and implement key actions to resolve issues. Your role may involve organizing training, attracting senior clinical staff, or conducting clinical investigations. Your leadership and dedication will significantly impact the residents’ wellbeing.
Due to the divisional scope of this role, a willingness to travel regularly is essential.
To join us as a Divisional Clinical Development Nurse, you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration. Evidence of ongoing professional development and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements are essential. You should have experience working in a care home environment, be confident in mentoring nurses, including newly-qualified staff. Your leadership, analytical skills, and ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and execute action plans will help you achieve excellent results.
