Clinical Deputy Care Home Manager
Location: Richmond Villages, Aston on Trent, Derbyshire, DE72 2EA.
Salary: From £48,319 per annum, negotiable based on experience and skill set, plus a £1,000 welcome bonus. Permanent contract, full time, 40 hours per week, including weekends on rota.
Overview
We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Home Manager to manage and support the care team, delivering person‑centred care to our residents in a 61‑bedroom care home.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support all aspects of nursing care and residential activities within the home.
- Create, update, and maintain individual electronic care plans and accurate medication records.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels through efficient rota management.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice and dignity.
- Build lasting relationships with residents, their families, and the community; foster a sense of community within the home.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local partners, contributing to the care home’s profile locally and beyond.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a care home environment.
- Commitment to CQC standards and continuous professional development.
- Strong understanding of how accurate nursing care improves residents’ lives.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build honest relationships with residents and families.
- Natural leader with experience mentoring and delegating to a care team, promoting excellent customer service.
- Effective time management and prioritisation of workload.
- Respectful, compassionate team player committed to personal best.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic care planning highly desirable.
