Job summary

Haling Park Care Home in Croydon, part of Care Concern Group, seeks a Clinical Deputy Manager (RGN or RMN) to lead clinical governance, care planning and medication management, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care for residents.

This senior role reports to the Home Manager, provides hands-on leadership to nursing and care teams, supports staff development and drives continuous improvement, while overseeing day-to-day operations during the Home Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical knowledge in a care setting.
• Proven leadership and staff management experience.
• Experience in clinical governance, audits and compliance.
• Ability to support, mentor and develop staff.
• Confident decision making and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance, care planning and medication management.

Job description

Located in Croydon, London, our care home has been purposely built to support older people in making the most of every day. We provide Nursing, Residential, Dementia, Respite & Pallative Care for 62-residents.

Clinical Deputy Manager RGN Contract

• £64,000 per annum
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
• Paid NMC fees

Ongoing training, clinical development and clear progression into Home Manager roles, supported by experienced senior leadership and regional teams within a well structured and high performing environment.

Role Overview

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership and performance of the home, working in close partnership with the Home Manager to drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance and high quality care delivery. This is a senior leadership position where you will take responsibility for the clinical oversight of the service and ensure standards are consistently achieved and sustained.

You will lead on all aspects of clinical governance, care planning, medication management and risk, ensuring care is safe, effective and person centred. You will monitor performance, carry out audits, support inspections and take ownership of continuous improvement, ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

You will provide visible, hands on leadership to the nursing and care teams, supporting, mentoring and developing staff to deliver high quality outcomes. Acting as Deputy to the Home Manager, you will confidently oversee the service in their absence, manage day to day operations and make informed decisions that support both residents and staff.
