Clinical Deputy Home Manager

Hollie Hill Care Home - Durham Road - Stanley - DH9 6QZ

As a Care Home Clinical Deputy Manager at Harbour Healthcare, you'll support the delivery of quality care. Working closely with the Home Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you'll help ensure care standards, motivate your team, and promote residents' quality of life through leading by example, audits, clinical supervision, and regulatory compliance.

ABOUT YOU

You should be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration, mentoring/supervision experience, and experience with diverse health needs, safeguarding investigations, and clinical risk assessments. An understanding of person-centred care and positive behavioural support is essential. You should also be compassionate, resilient, and committed to delivering quality care.

Role Overview:

  • Monitoring standards of care delivered by staff
  • Supporting the Home Manager with policy implementation and business objectives
  • Preparing staff rotas for optimal staffing
  • Monitoring residents' wellbeing and updating care plans
  • Acting as a point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals

Hours: per week, including weekends on a rota, working on the floor and supernumerary days.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills and a motivated approach
  • Contributing to a culture of ownership and learning
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with dementia care
  • Valid NMC PIN and RGN / RMN qualification
