Clinical Data Entry Officer

The Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer (ACPCC) Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation drawing on over 50 years of expertise in cancer prevention through pathology services, cancer screening and vaccination registries. We have helped to reduce the mortality rate from cervical cancer in Victoria to half that of the rest of Australia. Our purpose aligns with the World Health Organization's Call to Action to eliminate cervical cancer for all women.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Clinical Data Entry Officer will be part of a team that will perform clerical, administrative, data entry, filing, and operational duties in accordance with VCS Pathology work practices. Key areas of responsibility include the following :

• Accurately enter, create and update data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) database
• Process samples for laboratory testing.
• Contribute to the resolution of the LIMS query queue problems
• Review, resolve and maintain items on the data entry worklists
• Maintain the quality of patient information in the LIMS
• Participate in mail room duties

• An undergraduate degree in Science or related field is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experienced and high accuracy data entry skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Efficient time management and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of medical terminology is desirable
• Excellent telephone manners and customer service skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work within a high-volume workload
• Flexible and proactive approach to work along with good problem-solving skills
