Job summaryOne full time or two part time roles are available to Clinical or Counselling Psychologists or Registered Psychotherapists including Arts Psychotherapists.We are a friendly and committed with a strongvalues base around promoting and upholding psychological approaches for people in mental distress. We have a range of therapists offering group, individual andfamily intervention in a variety of models. We are particularly interested in EMDR, relational, CAT and other integrative approaches, as well as embodied approaches to work with Complex PTSD and complex needs.
The post holder will link with the wider adult mental healthteams within Devon Partnership NHS Trust, providing specialist psychologicalassessments and therapy, for individuals, groups and families as well as teamconsultations and the supervision of staff. As a member of the clinical team thesuccessful applicant will support the Professional lead on issues of clinicalgovernance, evaluation and the management of waiting lists
The Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service is professionally managed andoffers support and close links with other psychologists through peer supervision, CPD events and teammeetings. There are also good links withthe two local DClinPsy training courses and the post holder may berequired to provide clinical placements and supervision to trainees.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a clinician who feelsconfident providing individual and group psychological therapy/interventionsand who feels passionate about their practice, professional and personaldevelopment. The post-holder will provide a direct service to clients through arange of modalities, potentially contributing to our individual, group andfamily therapy provision.
The post-holder will be committed to workingwith colleagues of different professions and different organisations to deliver,and support the delivery of, psychologically-informed, trauma-informed servicesand support the local development of a Psychology Informed Environment. Thepost-holder will become an important part of the teams withwhich we work; working to ensure that every client receives high quality careby offering psychological and psychotherapeutic opinion in MDTs, supporting thework within our core mental health teams, through consultation,supervision, the facilitation of reflective practice groups and the provisionof training and joint working.
While working alongside an 8A PPT staff member in thelocality, you will have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of aclinical team. The post-holder will be required and able to access supervisionappropriate to the level of experience and training. They will be supported to prioritisetasks, and manage their own workload.
