Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to employ Assistant Psychologists to deliver the Clinical Care Pathways in KMPT’s North Kent Directorate on a 12-month fixed contract. The role focuses on implementing ‘Initial Interventions’, evidence-based clinical interventions delivered across Kent’s Secondary Care Mental Health Services. The new posts will deliver these interventions for the population in North Kent secondary care and Mental Health Together. These roles emphasize psychologically informed interventions and involve delivering a brief manualized intervention called ‘Initial Interventions’ under supervision from qualified psychological practitioners.
You will be part of a dedicated psychological team, receiving focused clinical supervision from an experienced practitioner. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical practice and contribute to research and evaluation of ‘Initial Interventions’.
You will work closely with a team of 6 Assistant Psychologists in the North Kent Directorate—two in DGS CMHT, and four within Medway & Swale CMHT. You will be expected to work independently and deliver Initial Interventions in both individual and group formats, with training and weekly supervision provided.
