Job summary

Mindplace Harrogate is seeking a part-time Clinical Counselling Psychologist to support customers with education on living healthier lives. The role involves face-to-face patient contact, assessments, and various delivery models (face-to-face, telephone, video) within Bupa Health Services.

You will work under professional guidelines, attend supervision, and collaborate with the therapy team to optimise client outcomes and experience.

Qualifications

• Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology.
• HCPC registration as a Chartered Psychologist.
• General adult mental health experience; at least 1 year post-qualification.
• Desirable: corporate experience and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
• Offer models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
• Collaborate with clinical leads and therapy team to improve care.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer wellbeing support and group psychoeducation remotely.

You'll spend the majority of your time with our customers, doing what you do best.Responsibilities:Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.Offer different models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.Adhere to Bupa's case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.Work within sessional limits based on the client's Private Medical Insurance allowance.Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa's service policies.Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.Key Skills / Qualifications:Essential:Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.General adult mental health experience.At least 1 year's post-qualification clinical experience.Desirable:Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.Corporate experience.Excellent leadership and management skills.Key Skills & Experience:General adult mental health specialism experience.Corporate experience and business understanding.Up-to-date CPD.Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems.Ability to evaluate, plan, and prioritize workload within demanding time scales.Proven customer service and client liaison experience.Excellent application of clinical knowledge.Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.Experience managing own caseload and working towards individual targets and outcomes.High standards in written and oral communication.Diverse and varied clinical experience.Personal Characteristics:Well-developed communication skills.Effective time management.Ability to work autonomously in a busy environment.Understanding of a corporate environment.Ability to work at pace.Excellent team player.Strong problem-solving capability.Strong professional and personal drive.Ability to respond rapidly and decisively.Benefits:Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
