Clinical/Counselling Psychologist 7/8A (Preceptorship considered)

We have three posts available in the Northamptonshire Community Mental Health Team for BAND 7-8A PRECEPTORSHIP clinical or counselling psychologists; one covering teams in the West of the county and based in Northampton, one covering teams in the North of the county and based at St Mary's Hospital Kettering, and one working across the county.

These teams are multi-disciplinary teams that provide specialist support and intervention to people with a range of mental health difficulties.

These permanent posts benefit from a recruitment incentive of £5,000 pro rata for successful candidates over 2.5 years. Initial payment of £2,000 will be made in the 1st month, with a subsequent payment of £2,000 on the 13th month, and the remaining £1,000 paid in the 18th month. Terms and conditions apply.

A relocation package up to £8,000 is available if the successful postholder relocates to Northamptonshire and meets other eligibility criteria, subject to approval.

We would consider applications from those interested in a rotational post.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will provide psychological assessment and interventions across various client groups and presentations. Opportunities for specialization, supervision, consultation, reflective practice, and training are available and supported.

You will work with other psychology colleagues to develop and deliver services within a multidisciplinary team where psychology contributions are valued.

The successful applicant(s) will be line managed and supervised by Principal Psychologists in the CMHTs, with additional support from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Adult Mental Health Psychology Lead.
