Job summary

Bupa invites applications for a Clinical Counselling Psychologist in Exeter Mindplace. This face-to-face role offers part-time hours (minimum 2 days/week) with a flexible session schedule across weekdays and weekends.

You will deliver therapy, assessments, and education to help clients live healthier lives while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Essential qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and HCPC registration, with at least one year

Qualifications

• Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• HCPC registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
• Offer face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
• Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with clinical leads.
• Work within sessional limits based on Private Medical Insurance allowances.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations and training.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
• Collaborate with the team to improve client and employee experiences.

Location: Exeter, EX2 5SP

Session Requirements:

We can offer sessions from Monday to Friday: 08:00am to 1600pm and14:00pm - 22:00pm
Weekends 08:30-17:00.
5 appointments per day

Your Role:

As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you’ll use your training and education to support our customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives. You’ll spend the majority of your time with our customers, doing what you do best.

Responsibilities:

Key Skills / Qualifications:

Essential:

• Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
• General adult mental health experience.
• At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience.
• Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
