A healthcare institution in Liverpool seeks an Accredited Clinical Coder. The role includes delivering clinical coding services, participating in validation programs, and ensuring data quality. Candidates must possess an ACC qualification, effective communication, and organizational skills. This full-time position offers an additional £1,500 payment for responsibilities and is set within a dynamic healthcare environment.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of Clinical Coding services within the Trust including those undertaken in conjunction with clinical staff. The post holder will be required to deliver coding within the overall coding cycle and represent the coding team by working with CBU service teams and other colleagues. This will include clinical coding advice guidance and interpretation, and review audit and validation of records on a regular basis.

Alder Hey has been officially accredited as a HIMSS Stage 7 hospital and is now working through a strategy refresh. Alongside this the Trust are upgrading their Electronic Patient Record (Meditech) to the latest version available, maximising our investment in core clinical systems to ensure our staff have the best tools available when providing patient care.
