Join our team at Parexel’s Early Phase Clinical Unit in Harrow as a Clinical Catering Assistant. This is a BANK role offering flexible shifts with up to 37.5 hours per week, including rotational shifts and weekends.

Main purpose: Distribute food and beverages to clinical trial participants and maintain the catering area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide meals to participants
  • Coordinate and order food from caterers in cooperation with the study team
  • Distribute food and beverages according to study protocol
  • Supervise volunteers during mealtimes
  • Ensure menus are checked by the Dietician for macro-nutrients
Following study protocol:
  • Ensure correct meals (ingredients and macro-nutrients) are distributed on time
  • Document meal and beverage times and volumes as required
  • Weigh food before and after serving when demanded
  • Estimate consumption percentages as per protocol
Maintaining catering area:
  • Store food and beverages properly
  • Perform quality checks on expiry dates
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and equipment
  • Maintain stock levels
Unit support:
  • Set up hospitality and oversee food orders
  • Perform other tasks as required by the manager and EPCU
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in restaurant or canteen work or similar
  • Basic English knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Ability to work shifts, including early, late, weekends, and holidays
  • Operate kitchen machinery safely
