Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Biostatistician to join its data analytics team in East London. The hybrid position combines remote work with on-site collaboration to ensure data integrity and robust trial analysis.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics, with at least 3 years of pharmaceutical experience and proficiency in SAS and R. Knowledge of CDISC standards is a plus, and strong communication will support regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with experience in clinical trial analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, R, or similar.
• Strong understanding of statistical principles and methodologies relevant to clinical trials.
• Experience with survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, and other relevant statistical techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Familiarity with CDISC standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for clinical trials.
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using SAS, R, or other statistical software.
• Interpret statistical results and contribute to the preparation of clinical study reports (CSRs), publications, and presentations.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure appropriate study design and data collection methods.
• Provide statistical input for protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and other study-related documents.
• Ensure adherence to statistical programming standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to the development of statistical methodologies and approaches.
• Perform exploratory data analyses and contribute to data review meetings.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in statistical methodologies and software.
