A leading healthcare trust in Sutton-in-Ashfield is seeking a Clinical Associate Psychologist to provide psychological services alongside qualified psychologists. The role includes assessments and treatments in various settings, requiring a full UK driving license. Candidates should have a relevant degree in psychology and a commitment to mental health work. This full-time position offers a Band 6 salary and the opportunity to work within a diverse community team.
Clinical Associate Psychologists will work alongside qualified Clinical Psychologists as part of the psychological services contribution to the Ashfield multidisciplinary community teams. This post enhances the current workforce provision serving the local mental health needs. The CAP will provide a flexible community offer and will be competent in planning, delivering and evaluating evidence-based psychological interventions. The post holder will work semi-autonomously within their scope of practice under supervision of, and review by, a registered practitioner psychologist in accordance with British Psychological Society guidelines. The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary service team providing psychology services for adults and will be based at the Ashfield LMHT. The Trust reserves the right, with consultation, to relocate post holders within the Trust in line with service requirements.
The post holder will undertake a range of clinical activities across settings including in person, by telephone or via digital platforms. Activities include psychological assessments, treatments and other clinical interventions with individuals, carers, families and groups, along with staff training and research and development activities. Liaison with a broad range of other disciplines and agencies including health, social care and voluntary services will be a key aspect of this post. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
