Job summary

InHealth Group Limited is recruiting a Clinical Assistant to join the Radiography team in Bristol. You will support the MRI, CT and X-ray workflows, welcoming patients, preparing them for scans, and performing a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role includes reception duties, data entry, and opportunities to learn cannulation while working within a Community Diagnostic Centre environment in Bristol.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and guiding them from arrival to departure.
  • Escort patients to the clinical area and explain procedures clearly.
  • Complete pre-scan data protection/consent forms and safety questionnaires.
  • Monitor patient condition after procedure and report changes promptly.
  • Enter patient data into the management system accurately.
  • Handle department administration and reception tasks as needed.
  • Support in reception and learn cannulation procedures.

Job description

Hours: 36 hrs per week- 3x12 hour shifts Monday- Sunday as per local rota, varying shift pattern.

Location: Bristol

Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach to provide more accessibility to people in the community away from acute settings, we at InHealth are excited to be partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres to support this vison.

Following this we are delighted to have opened a newCommunity Diagnostic Centrein Bristol , and are actively recruiting now to build a passionate and dedicated team to, ready to support this nationwide programme to enhance the availability of healthcare in the community, while enhancing your own career.

Right now we are looking to recruit aClinical Assistantinto the team,to work alongside the Radiography Departmentin MRI, CT and Xray.

What will you do?

As a clinical assistant, supporting the Radiography department, the core of your role is to ensure our patients receive the best standard of care from arrival through to departure. The Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the working day by welcoming patients into the clinical area and preparing them for their scan. You will also be required to complete some administrative tasks within the department and also support in Reception as needed. This role rotates between working on Reception, Cannulation shifts and supporting the Radiographers prepare patients for their scan

  • Welcoming patients in a professional, courteous manner, coordinating their arrival through to departure
  • Escorting patients to and from the clinical area as required, explaining the procedure in full and ensuring any questions or concerns are managed professionally
  • Completing the patient's pre-scan data protection/consent form and health and safety questionnaire (where applicable)
  • Assessing and monitoring the patient's condition after procedure, ensuring that any changes are reported to the relevant staff immediately
  • Accurately entering all relevant patient data into the patient management system
  • Managing administrative tasks within the department as required.
  • Working on the reception desk, professionally welcoming patients into the Centre
  • Learn to cannulate patients
