Job summary

Donard Recruitment is seeking a Functional Specialist in Worcester for hybrid, full-time work. You will conduct face-to-face and virtual assessments for the Governments disability allowance (PIP) and manage caseloads from end to end, delivering thorough reports with empathy.

The role requires qualified Nurses, OT, Physiotherapist or Paramedic with NMC/HCPC registration, strong IT skills and excellent communication. Starting salary £39,500 plus bonus, with enhanced earnings after DWP approval.

• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

We are recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time roles available.

As a Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Governments disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Benefits Include:

Starting salary of £39,500 + Bonus

• A competitive basic starting salary of £39,500 increasing to £40,500 on achieving DWP approval
• Once approved you will be eligible for the bonus scheme subject to quality and performance

Hybrid, Full time

Training: Full time, 5 weeks

25 days Holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service

Your New Role:

As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).

As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.

You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.

You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.
