We are currently seeking a passionate and clinically credible Clinical Application Specialist to join our Microsurgery team and support healthcare providers across the UK in adopting groundbreaking surgical workflow solutions.Role Overview
This national, field-based role focuses on providing clinical expertise and application support for ZEISS's innovative Microsurgery portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with surgeons and hospital stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of ZEISS solutions, particularly in neurosurgery, neuropathology, ENT, plastic surgery and oncology, delivering both clinical value and commercial growth.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Customer Support- Provide in-theatre support and application guidance for ZEISS microsurgery technologies
- Deliver training and support during product installations and live cases
- Collaborate with customers to optimise clinical workflows and outcomes
- Serve as a trusted advisor for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), surgeons, and clinical stakeholders
Strategic Collaboration- Work closely with the National Business Manager and Sales team to align with UK and global go-to-market strategies
- Support early adopter sites to drive market penetration and clinical success
- Understand and engage with NHS/private sector funding pathways and business cases
Market Development & Networking- Identify and nurture relationships with reference centres and key decision-makers
- Promote ZEISS brand awareness through exemplary clinical support and education
- Contribute to the broader ZEISS strategic business plan for tumour workflow and microsurgery innovation

- Strong clinical and commercial acumen with the ability to influence and educate
- Team-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Performance-driven, strategic thinker with excellent communication abilities
Qualifications & Experience- Degree in Health Science, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Pathology, or equivalent
- Experience in clinical applications or sales support within the healthcare sector
- Exposure to theatre environments, particularly in ENT, Plastic Surgery, or Neurosurgery, is highly desirable
- Experience working with medical technologies or capital equipment is an advantage
