This is an incredible opportunity to lead an established and innovative Speech and Language Therapy service that prioritizes clinical quality.
The service includes FEES and VFE services, with dedicated teams for critical care, head and neck, voice, inpatient, stroke, neurorehab, community, and care homes. We collaborate with SLT colleagues across L&SC and organize a yearly SLT conference.
We offer a band 5 rotation to provide newly qualified graduates with diverse SLT experience.
This role offers the chance to work within a well-established division and with a Head of Service who is also a Speech and Language Therapist, to develop and expand the SLT service at ELHT.
The post holder will oversee the clinical quality and operational delivery of the SLT service, ensuring high standards of patient care.
Responsible for workforce planning and delivery across all SLT pathways.
Provide clinical leadership, guidance, support, and senior review for SLT staff.
Lead service improvement and change programs within the division, collaborating with clinical and operational leaders.

Manage SLT operationally, ensuring strategic delivery.

Offer expert advice and guidance on clinical matters.
Review and implement clinical guidelines, including NICE and professional standards.
Promote innovative practice models and utilize improvement methodologies.
Work closely with Clinical Team Leaders to develop clinical practice areas.
