Clinical Advisor (Fertility Nurse)

After providing fertility clinical advice longer than anyone else in the UK/Europe, we now also provide clinical advice, wellbeing support and navigational advice for menopause, women’s health, and men’s reproductive health. Through our digital platform we supply outstanding clinical educational and awareness materials, access to holistic services and financial support with the costs of reproductive health treatment.

The next step in our journey? We’re looking for a Nurse/Clinical Advisor with a Fertility focus.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the clinical team at Fertifa, a fast-growing Health Tech making a real impact in people’s lives. Our team is made up of highly knowledgeable, compassionate professionals who specialise in areas including women’s health, men’s health, fertility, menopause, neurodiversity, and gender affirmation.

As one of the first interactions our patients will connect with, you’ll play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support, helping them navigate their unique health journeys. The role is dynamic and requires a proactive approach—our company is growing quickly, and you’ll be part of a forward-thinking team that values initiative, flexibility, and innovation. This role reports to the Head of Clinical Services, whilst working closely with other consultants, patient advisors and collaborating with the wider company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold a qualification with a valid NMC registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years specialism in fertility nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of fertility treatments, including IVF, IUI, egg and sperm freezing, and donor conception.
  • Experience in patient consultations and case management within a fertility setting.
  • Organisational and time-management skills to manage appointments, webinars, and consultations effectively.
  • Experience in delivering health education and fertility counselling is desirable.
  • Good IT skills required (Microsoft Office, Semble).

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Focus:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries across multiple health pathways, providing accurate, up-to-date information tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct discovery calls and consultations, supporting patients in understanding fertility investigations, treatment options and next steps.
  • Interpret and discuss fertility test results, treatment plans, and follow up options with patients.
  • Offer professional, empathetic support to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments.
  • Educate patients on fertility preservation, assisted reproductive technologies, and holistic approaches.
  • Support patients through pregnancy loss and infertility challenges, signposting to further resources if needed.
  • Manage app and email inquiries professionally, delivering informed and patient-centered responses.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding protocols, ensuring the privacy and safety of all patients.
  • Gather patient feedback to continuously enhance our benefits program and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Document patient interactions, treatments and outcomes accurately, maintaining high standards of record keeping.
  • Provide guidance and empathy to patients throughout their treatment journey, offering support before, during and after testing or procedures.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism in all aspects of patient care.

Operational Focus:

  • Support daily clinical operations, coordinating care within the team while considering staffing and expertise requirements.
  • Serve as an escalation point for patient advisors on clinical queries, providing expert guidance as needed.
  • Work closely with clinicians to monitor appointment availability, arranging additional slots when necessary to reduce wait times.
  • Collaborate with partner clinics and wellness providers to deliver a seamless patient experience across all services.
  • Contribute to the development of digital tools and services, ensuring a supportive, innovative, and efficient patient journey.
  • Follow clinical protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring patient information and consent processes are clear and accurate.
  • Create educational content, run webinars, and facilitate teaching sessions on area of expertise and broader health topics.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to support patients across diverse pathways including but not limited to women’s health, men’s health, menopause, maternity, neurodiversity and gender affirmation, with training provided as needed.
  • Flexibility to work a rota including early starts (8am), late finishes (8pm).
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, staying current with healthcare practices relevant to our services.

  • Competitive salary from £43k - £46k per annum depending on experience.
