A healthcare services provider in Basingstoke is seeking part-time staff to work in the Emergency Department and the newly formed Urgent Treatment Centre. The role involves working 4 on, 4 off shifts that include weekends and bank holidays. This position requires managing a busy environment with the possibility of exposure to blood and bodily fluids and face-to-face aggression. Reporting mechanisms are in place to support staff.
Part time - Shifts over 1400-2000
The role covers the Emergency Department and the newly formed Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). You will work a 4 on 4 off rolling rota inclusive of bank holidays and weekends. You will be part of a team where no day is the same. The UTC at BNHH registers an average of 700 patients per week. The department operates 16 hours a day (08:00-00:00) year-round. In line with DOH guidelines, patients should be seen, treated and discharged or admitted within 4 hours of arrival.
The UTC and Emergency Department are busy; staff will be exposed to blood and bodily fluids and to a challenging environment with the potential for face-to-face aggression. Reporting and support mechanisms are in place. Please refer to the job description for a full job summary.
