This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
Part time - Shifts over 1400-2000
Covering the Emergency Department and the newly formed Urgent Treatment Centre. Working a 4 on 4 off rolling rota inclusive of bank holiday and weekends. You will be part of an amazing team where no day is the same.
The newly formed Urgent Treatment Centre at BNHH will register an average of 700 patients per week. The department is open 16 hours a day, from 0800-0000, 365 days per year. In accordance with DOH guidelines, all patients attending the department should be seen, treated and discharged or admitted within 4 hours of arrival.
The UTC and Emergency Department are extremely busy departments. All staff working in this area will be exposed to blood and other bodily fluids. All staff will be frequently exposed to a highly challenging environment and will be expected to manage difficult situations and support each other, although reporting and support mechanisms are in place. Staff must be aware that they will be exposed to face-to-face aggression. Please refer to the job description for a full job summary.
You will be responsible for greeting all patients that attend the UTC ensuring they are registered in a prompt and professional manner. You will provide administrative support to the nursing and clinical staff on duty, ensuring that clinical coding is correct, arriving pre-booked appointments, photocopying and scanning all attendance information and will portray a professional image at all times.
These positions work 365 days a year including weekends and bank holidays.
