Job description

Job Opportunity: Administrative Support for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to support the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team. This position is based at Westgate House, Hillside Health Centre, Skelmersdale.

Details:

  • Full-time, permanent role, 37.5 hours per week
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Qualifications Needed: NVQ Level 3 administrative qualification or equivalent experience, RSA 2 or equivalent, ECDL or equivalent experience.

This role involves providing efficient administrative support within a community-based children's mental health service, working as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychological therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent IT, keyboard, and data input skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, organize workload, and adapt to varied, interesting, and demanding tasks
  • Organized, flexible, and reliable

The role includes coordinating activities with other administration team members, providing a comprehensive administrative and information service, and working flexibly across various sites as directed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing mail and correspondence
  • Being the first point of contact for the unit/department
  • Minute taking, report compilation, and other administrative duties
  • Building effective relationships within the health economy
  • Supporting team leaders with secretarial functions, arranging supervisions and PDRs, and participating in team meetings
