Clinical Administration Support Assistant - 6 Month FTC

In this fixed-term role, youll play a key part in helping ensure the smooth running of our clinical servicesenabling our doctors, nurses, and therapists to focus on delivering outstanding care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.As Clinical Administration Support, youll be joining a warm, collaborative team of Clinical Administrators who play a vital role in the smooth running of our hospice services. The Clinical Admin Team is the backbone of day-to-day operations, ensuring our clinical staff are supported with efficient, compassionate, and accurate administration. Working closely with nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, youll help ensure they have everything they need to deliver exceptional care to patients and families.

Main duties of the job

Provide general administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying, shredding, and printing.Accurately input and update patient information on clinical systems under supervision (e.g., SystmOne, JACS, CareFlow).Answer incoming telephone calls, take clear messages, and forward to appropriate team members in a timely manner.

Last year, we cared for over 2,400 people. Our aim is to support our patients by keeping them informed, managing their symptoms, and improving their quality of life from diagnosis onwards.We also provide vital support to the people who are important to them, offering practical assistance and emotional support, including bereavement services.Were more than a care provider. Qualifications
  • Good general education including English and Maths (GCSE grade C/4 or above or equivalent)
Experience
  • Experience of working in an administrative or office-based environment
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
  • Awareness of the importance of compassion and sensitivity when dealing with patients and families in a

  • Basic IT and keyboard skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work methodically

  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Basic knowledge of NHS or healthcare terminology
