The role aims to sustain a high-quality specialist service for patients, from diagnosis through all stages of the disease. Responsibilities include providing support, education, and counselling advice on treatment-related issues in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

The Nurse Specialist will collaborate with Cancer Care teams within The Trust and with primary and acute care providers to ensure a streamlined, patient-centred care pathway.

In collaboration with the Lead Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and other team members, the Nurse Specialist will formulate, review, and revise relevant policies and guidelines, ensuring they are up-to-date following changes or implementation. The role requires working within the policies and procedures of The Trust.
