Job summary

Your World Nursing is recruiting a locum nurse for community health roles in Hawick, Scotland. The role involves health assessments, vaccinations, chronic disease management, prenatal and postnatal care, home visits, and care coordination with local providers.

You will work on a PAYE basis, with a daily rate of £27.00 per hour, and support from a dedicated recruitment consultant. The contract runs from 3 November 2026 to 11 December 2026, with training and ongoing compliance support to help you

Qualifications

• NMC registration is required.
• 6 months of experience within a UK healthcare setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• UK references are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments and screenings within the community.
• Provide healthcare education and promote health awareness to individuals and groups.
• Administer vaccinations and immunisations.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension).
• Offer prenatal and postnatal care to expectant/new mothers.
• Conduct home visits to assess living conditions and provide care when needed.
• Coordinate care with local healthcare providers and organisations.
• Advocate for patients' access to resources.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Respond to emergencies within the community.
