Job Title: Clinic Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Reports to: Regional Manager / Commercial & Managing Director
Salary: £35-40k plus bonus plus benefits

Summary

The Clinic Manager is responsible for the overall operations, administration, and management of the clinic. This role ensures that the clinic runs efficiently, delivers high-quality patient care, and meets financial and operational goals. The Clinic Manager will oversee staff management, patient services, budgeting, compliance, and facility management.

Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic to ensure smooth functioning; implement and maintain clinic policies and procedures; coordinate with healthcare providers to optimise patient care delivery and clinic workflow; monitor and manage patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective patient scheduling and appointment management.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate clinic staff, including administrative and medical personnel; ensure staff adhere to clinic policies and procedures; foster a positive work environment, address staff concerns, and facilitate professional development; conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training to staff.
  • Patient Services: Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction by monitoring patient feedback and implementing improvements; handle patient complaints and concerns with professionalism and empathy; ensure that patient care services are delivered in a timely, accurate, and compassionate manner.
  • Financial Management: Develop, monitor, and manage the clinic\'s budget, ensuring financial targets are met; manage inventory and supplies, ensuring cost control and availability.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure the clinic complies with all CQC (Care Quality Commission) and local regulations, including healthcare laws and standards; maintain clinic accreditation and licensure, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate; develop and implement safety and quality control protocols, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff; assume responsibility as the Registered Manager with the CQC and comply with CQC regulatory framework (record keeping, logs, audits, assessments); keep up with required annual training courses (e.g., BLS, Safeguarding, Infection Control).
  • Health & Safety & Laser Safety: Ensure site compliance with Health & Safety legislation by maintaining policies, undertaking risk assessments, complying with COSHH and RIDDOR; take on the role of Laser Protection Supervisor (LPS) and be responsible for the safe use of all lasers in the business.
  • Facility Management: Oversee maintenance of the clinic\'s facilities and equipment; report needs and coordinate with vendors/service providers to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve clinic operations and patient care; identify opportunities for service expansion or improvement; analyse clinic performance data and prepare reports for senior management.
Qualifications
  • Education: NVQ 2 above or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a healthcare management role, preferably in a clinic or outpatient setting.
