Qualifications

  • Confidence handling difficult conversations with patients, relatives and carers.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft packages.

Job Overview

The Clinic Coordinator is a key member of the Clinical Psychology team, providing high quality administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of outpatient services. The post holder will coordinate appointments, referrals and patient communications, supporting the efficient use of clinic capacity and helping to deliver a positive experience for patients accessing the service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will coordinate and manage outpatient appointments, referrals and clinic activity, ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently. They will act as a key point of contact for patients, carers, clinicians and colleagues, responding to enquiries, communicating appointment information and supporting the smooth running of clinics. The role will involve maintaining patient administration systems, arranging interpreter and other appointment-related services, managing clinic schedules and supporting the effective utilisation of clinic capacity. The post holder will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate record keeping, provide a high standard of customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience.
