An interesting opportunity has arisen for a part time Clinic Co-ordinator to cover maternity leave and support the Assistant Service Manager within the Maternity & Gynaecology Care Unit.
This post is a part-time temporary position working Monday - Friday.
The Clinic Coordinator will provide clinic administration support to the Care Unit and work with the Assistant Service Manager to ensure clinics are managed effectively, including cancelling clinics when medical staff are unavailable and ensuring appointment slots are utilised.
You will be responsible for providing clinic administration support to the Care Unit in relation to clinic management. You will work closely with the Assistant Service Manager to ensure that all clinics are cancelled when medical staff are unavailable and also that all slots are utilised appropriately.

Communicating effectively with the Team (Doctors, Nurses, CAOs, Receptionists), patients and external callers.
Efficiently working on the Partial Booking and Pending lists.
Updating spreadsheets and liaising with Nursing Staff and other Allied Health Professionals.
Liaising with Medical staff, Doctors and Consultants regarding capacity issues. Accurately completing the documentation of patients for input into the computerised patient and administration system.
Operating a VDU for inputting and retrieval of information, using many Microsoft Office packages.
Using a Tracker System on Medway for recording the destination and receipt of patient records.
Answering telephone enquiries courteously, taking messages and conveying the information accurately to the appropriate person.
To add, change and cancel/delete any clinics as requested for audit, Bank Holidays or Consultant changes in line with the Trust procedures.
To review all clinics on a regular basis to ensure they are being used efficiently and monitor the usage of appointment slots and work closely with the Assistant Service Manager.
To be able to work under pressure with the minimum of supervision on occasions.
To report any variances to the Assistant Service Manager.
Action clinic amendment forms in line with Trust Procedures and working closely with the Clinical team.
Perform any other duties as dictated by the Assistant Service Manager for the Care Unit.
Contribute to report production
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
