Clinical Lead - Physiotherapist

Guildford Hospital | Physiotherapy | Permanent | Full time

Up to £49,500 per annum, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

The Guildford Nuffield is looking for an ambitious Clinical Lead physiotherapist to support the management of the Physiotherapy service, ensuring delivery of high-quality, effective clinical care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment. You will provide leadership, motivation, and supervision to the physiotherapy team, as well as delivering clinical care to patients.

You will bring experience from working within a physiotherapy setting and supervising staff, while also delivering treatment to patients. The role is primarily based at Guildford Nuffield Hospital, with some hours at Guildford Nuffield Fitness and Wellbeing site, and supporting other local sites when needed. You will collaborate with staff from Outpatients, Pre-assessment, Theatres, and Wards. The role is outpatient-based with an expectation to cover inpatients when needed.

You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective care services that provide patients with the highest level of customer experience within Physiotherapy, and for identifying and implementing quality improvement opportunities. You will work with the Physiotherapy Manager to support the hospital's business plan.

As our Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will:

• Help run a dynamic team efficiently
• Maintain clinical workload alongside managerial duties
• Work with Consultants to ensure best practice
• Drive quality service and outcomes
• Develop and grow the department
• Collaborate with hospital teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain CQC standards, undertake risk assessments, and report incidents
• Support the physiotherapy manager in delivering excellent patient experiences

To succeed as a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will need:

• Qualified Physiotherapist with a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, registered with the HCPC
• Passion for excellence and high standards
• Proactive, adaptable, and innovative mindset
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, including handling escalations
• Ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload effectively
• Orthopaedic experience
