Job summary

Owen Thomas | B Corp™ in London is seeking a Product Engineer (Backend, Full Stack) to build real-time systems and high-ownership 0→1 product builds. You will work across Python and TypeScript, with AWS, in a climate tech x energy trading context.

The role is backend-first (Python ~70%) with exposure to the full stack, delivering scalable, data-heavy systems and APIs. Hybrid work, 3 days in the office, and a salary range of £80-120k plus equity and bonus.

Qualifications

• 2–6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Comfortable contributing across the full stack.
• Experience building data-heavy or highly numerical products.
• Product mindset with strong ownership.
• Comfortable operating in startup environments.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Building and owning backend services in Python.
• Developing scalable APIs and data-heavy systems.
• Designing products that process large volumes of real-time information.
• Working closely with Product to deliver features end-to-end.
• Contributing across the stack where required (TypeScript).
• Building software that interacts with physical devices and operational systems.
• Improving reliability, performance and engineering standards as the platform scales.
