Legal & General is seeking a Climate Strategy Analyst to join our Climate Solutions team and help shape how climate considerations are understood and integrated across our investment activities. You’ll translate complex climate and company analysis into clear recommendations for investment, stewardship and client-facing teams.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of climate change, transition risk, decarbonisation pathways, carbon pricing and sector-specific transition challenges.
• Strong understanding of corporate climate strategy, including transition plans, emissions targets and governance.
• Ability to analyse companies from climate and investment perspectives, considering financial materiality and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities

• Developing company-level climate engagement analytics to support prioritisation and tracking of engagement outcomes.
• Assessing corporate transition plans, emissions trajectories and climate-related risks and opportunities.
• Supporting the design and implementation of engagement strategies to foster decarbonisation and energy transition.
• Translating climate, sector and company analysis into recommendations for investment, stewardship and client-facing activities.
• Supporting client mandates and climate impact strategies through robust company analysis and transition assessments.
• Collaborating with investment teams to strengthen understanding of climate transition risks across portfolios.
• Contributing to external thought leadership and client communications on climate integration.
