Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Climate Risk Analytics Manager to lead their team in quantifying climate change-related risks. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team of senior analytics managers, contributing significantly to the development, validation, and maintenance of globally consistent Climate risk models.
As a Climate Risk Analytics Manager, your role will be pivotal in leading the quantification of climate change-related risks. You will take ownership of the development, validation, and maintenance of globally consistent Climate risk models. Your expertise will be crucial in managing global methodology frameworks and assessment procedures for Climate risk. You'll also have the opportunity to manage projects proactively and utilise your resources effectively. As a subject matter expert in climate risk, you'll communicate regularly with various stakeholders, explaining complex modelling details in non-technical language. Furthermore, your ability to write high-quality and comprehensive documentation will be highly valued.
The ideal candidate for this Climate Risk Analytics Manager position brings a wealth of relevant experience in a quantitative or technical field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research or Computer Science. Your proven experience in Climate Science modelling sets you apart from others. You possess deep knowledge of Trading Book Market Risk Models and Analytics along with an understanding of trading business and derivative products. Proficiency in programming particularly in Python is essential for this role. Any knowledge of Stress Testing or Economic Capital would be considered advantageous.
