Client Side – Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Warrington, Cheshire

Full Time – Permanent

Due to ongoing expansion, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Client-Side Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Head Office.

Working as part of our development team, and reporting directly to the Development Director, you will be responsible for managing multiple development projects from inception to completion. The projects include Purpose Built Student Accommodation, Co-Living developments, and commercial projects.

Our recent projects include:

• Development of several thousand PBSA beds across the UK, including Vega (841 beds in Vauxhall, London), The Mont (341 beds in Edinburgh),

Miles Yard (Grade A office in Vauxhall), and No.1 Old Hall Street (commercial scheme in Liverpool).

We are also developing Square Gardens in Manchester, providing 2,224 apartments and commercial/leisure spaces.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Providing initial cost advice for PBSA/residential opportunities.
• Preparing detailed cost plans and managing project budgets.
• Managing project costs from inception to completion.
• Assessing and managing risks, and informing funding requests.
• Overseeing on-site schemes, including cost reporting, value engineering, and dispute resolution.
• Managing tender documentation and contractor relationships.
• Knowledge of Contracting, especially JCT D&B contracts.
• Negotiating and overseeing construction contracts and related documents.
• Finalizing accounts in line with company approval levels.

Key Requirements

• MRICS qualification preferred, with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in the living sector is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
