Job summary

Rathbones in Cheltenham seeks a Client Service Executive to support Financial Planners and Paraplanners, delivering high-quality client experiences across the client journey. You will coordinate client activities, help ensure timely delivery of financial planning advice, and contribute to onboarding new clients within a collaborative team.

The role offers exposure to regulatory standards, CRM systems, and a strong focus on accuracy and service excellence as part of a leading wealth management

Qualifications

  • Experience within financial planning, wealth management, or the wider financial advice sector.
  • Strong appreciation of client and Financial Planner needs with a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and applying regulatory knowledge practically.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks across a wider team to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Comfortable supporting multiple Financial Planners simultaneously and adapting to changing demands.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to organise your workload and assist others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role within the client team, supporting the preparation, delivery and implementation of financial planning advice for both new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Planners and Paraplanners to ensure work is delivered efficiently and within timescales.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality client documentation and service support, maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records and CRM systems for a seamless client experience.
  • Build knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within wealth management.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, Financial Planners, Investment Managers, clients and external providers.
  • Support team communications to ensure actions are completed promptly.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture by helping colleagues and other client teams when needed.
  • Share knowledge with peers to support team development and success.

About the Role

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Play a key role within the client team, supporting the preparation, delivery and implementation of financial planning advice for both new and existing clients.

  • Build your knowledge and expertise by staying informed of evolving processes, procedures and industry best practice.
  • Develop a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within a leading wealth management business.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues, Financial Planners, Investment Managers, clients and external providers, becoming a trusted member of the wider team.
  • Take an active role in team communications, ensuring actions are completed promptly and effectively.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture by supporting colleagues and other client teams when needed.
  • Share knowledge and experience with peers, providing guidance and support to help the team succeed.

About you
