Job Description:

THE ROLE

An interesting role for a PROJECT DIRECTOR / CLIENT’s REPRESENTATIVE on an Airport project in Bulgaria.

The project involves the rehabilitation of the Runway and Apron at the Airport, including asphalt overlay over an existing concrete structure.

The Project Director will lead the Client’s project team, coordinating and managing all external companies, maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders, including dealing with relevant authorities.

The role is initially for a period of 16 – 18 months based in Bulgaria.

About the Company

My client is an Airport Operator.

Candidate Requirements

• You will be an experienced Project Director / Client’s Representative with at least five years of experience in a similar top-level role on high-value infrastructure projects.
• You should have a proven track record in RWY construction projects, preferably with experience in asphalt overlay on existing concrete structures.
• You must be familiar with FIDIC contracts for construction.
• You should have a strong understanding of claims management on high-value infrastructure projects.
• You should be capable of managing the project through various stages, including detailed design, procurement, execution, commissioning, and contract finalization.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills are required, with confidence in dealing with people at all levels and nationalities.
• Contracts are in English.
• Ideally, you will be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree and MSc in Civil Engineering.

Compensation

Salary is negotiable. The client can provide either accommodation or an allowance for the duration, especially considering candidates from outside Bulgaria.
