Equiniti Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Client Reporting Accountant to join our pensions team supporting over 200 clients across the UK. You will manage your own client portfolio, acting as a dedicated Pension Accountant and building strong relationships with clients, auditors and professional advisers.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified by experience in accounting.
• Experience producing accounts to trial balance level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong accounts production, reporting and reconciliation abilities.
• Good numerical, analytical and interpretation skills.
• Ability to deliver client reports accurately within timescales.
• Knowledge of accounting, payment transactions and reporting procedures.
• Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and policies.

• Prepare pension scheme financial statements and annual reports per regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, auditors and advisers to deliver accounts on time.
• Facilitate pension scheme audits and manage requirements to completion.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and management information for clients.

• Authorise payments per client mandates and procedures.
• Prepare quarterly tax accounting information for HMRC and ONS returns.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused Client Reporting Accountant to join a highly experienced team supporting over 200 pension clients across the UK.

As a Client Reporting Accountant, you will be joining a team of over 30 accountancy professionals responsible for delivering pension accounting services to a wide range of clients. You will manage your own client portfolio, acting as a dedicated Pension Accountant and building strong relationships with clients, auditors and professional advisers. What you'll be doing:

• Prepare pension scheme financial statements and annual reports in accordance with legislation and industry best practice.
• Work closely with clients, auditors and professional advisers to deliver accounts and reports within agreed timescales.
• Facilitate pension scheme audits and manage audit requirements through to completion.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and management information for clients.
• Process accounting transactions and complete account reconciliations.
• Authorise payments in accordance with client mandates and company procedures.
• Prepare quarterly tax accounting information for submission to HMRC and complete ONS returns.
• Act as the dedicated Pension Accountant for your client portfolio and build strong working relationships.
• Share knowledge and experience with colleagues and support wider team objectives.
• Undertake ad-hoc accounting activities as required by the Team Leader and Head of Pension Accounts.

What we'd like to see from your application:

• Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role with accounts production experience to trial balance level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong accounts production, reporting and reconciliation skills.
• Good numerical, analytical and interpretation skills.
• Ability to deliver client reports accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Knowledge of accounting, payment transaction and reporting procedures.
• Ability to interpret legislation, regulations and policies and apply them appropriately.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a client-focused approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of SUN Accounts would be advantageous.
• Experience within pensions services or pension accounting would be beneficial.

The rate on offer: £300 per day via umbrella.

Duration: Initially 6 months, with opportunity to extend.
