Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.

Client Relationship Manager, Private Capital - The role:

  • Lead the delivery of the firm's Clients & Sectors strategy for Private Capital, working closely with relationship partners to drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Manage a global portfolio of complex, cross-border Financial Institutions, Funds and Insurance Group (FFIG) clients, ensuring high standards of coordination and strategic leadership.
  • Use knowledge of client businesses and market data to identify new business opportunities, focusing on high-margin, complex work.
  • Develop and execute action-oriented client account plans, aligning client teams with identified opportunities and promoting cross-selling across practice areas.
  • Facilitate structured, independent client feedback and communicate outcomes to partners, ensuring follow-up actions are taken and communicated back to clients.
  • Build strong relationships with key client contacts, partners, sector leaders and the wider Business Teams community.
  • Champion knowledge-sharing around account management best practice and emerging trends.
  • Lead client onboarding processes, support the implementation of Salesforce, and promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Client Relationship Manager, Private Capital - What we're looking for:

  • Minimum ten years' client development experience in legal or professional services, with particular exposure to financial institutions, funds, and/or insurance sectors.
  • Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships with senior stakeholders in financial services.
  • Sound understanding of client relationship management (CRM) systems, especially Salesforce, and best practices in the field.
  • Demonstrable track record of identifying strategic opportunities and winning new business from FFIG clients.
  • Comfortable conducting client interviews for feedback and leveraging analytics and reporting to inform decisions.
  • Experience in strategic account planning and white-space analysis specifically for financial institutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, including writing, presentations, and reporting.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to operate effectively within a matrix organisation and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of financial services business models and profitability drivers.

Client Relationship Manager, Private Capital - What's on offer:

This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.
