Client Relationship Account Manager (Practice Accountancy)

Client Relationship Manager Accountancy Practice Experience Essential
Location: Spalding/Boston
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexible & Hybrid Working Available)

Their Spalding/Boston office is looking for a Client Relationship Manager to manage a diverse client portfolio, oversee practice operations, and mentor junior team members.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Managing client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery through regular touchpoints (online & in-person).
  2. Handling a mixed client portfolio, including VAT returns, tax returns, and financial statements.
  3. Overseeing practice and workflow management, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.
  4. Identifying growth opportunities and developing business relationships to expand portfolio size.
  5. Leading, mentoring, and developing junior staff to create a high-performing team.
  6. Driving billing targets, debt recovery, and financial forecasting for your portfolio.
  7. Contributing to strategic planning and operational improvement within the firm.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. ICAEW/ACCA qualified with at least 5 years experience in an accountancy practice.
  2. Strong technical knowledge across VAT, personal tax, partnerships, and limited company accounts.
  3. Highly proficient in MS Office and accounting software (IRIS experience is a plus!).
  4. Exceptional communication skills, able to build long-term client relationships.
  5. Methodical, organised, and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset.
  6. Open to travel between regional offices when required.
