Job description

Are you looking for a new role where you can really take the lead in making a difference to our client’s service?

We have an exciting opportunity to join NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) as a Client Liaison Lead. You will work in partnership with our Payroll teams, proactively reviewing processes and procedures to ensure the needs and expectations of our clients are met.

Essentially, you will bring expert knowledge in process awareness to clients, promoting standard processes, and handling highly sensitive and confidential personal information. Ensuring compliance with external and internal audit requirements is also key.

We consider applications from Southampton and Sheffield. Our hybrid working model involves working from the office one day a week and remotely four days, with occasional client site meetings.

What you'll be doing:
  • Building effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Supporting the P2P team through a flexible approach to change.
  • Focusing on customer service, actively seeking improvements based on feedback.
  • Holding monthly client calls, preparing client packs and trend graphs.
  • Handling queries from internal and external customers via email, Teams, and phone.
  • Analyzing feedback to ensure consistent service improvement.
What you’ll bring:
  • Experience working within Payroll Hubs.
  • At least one year of experience in a payroll team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in customer/client service environments.
  • A passion for service excellence.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Analytical skills to interpret financial and performance data.
  • Problem-solving skills with root cause analysis.
It would be great if you had:
  • Previous NHS experience.
