About the Role

This role focuses on delivering project management services for technical client engagements, working with technical teams and end users.

The Project Management Office within the Professional Services department ensures a positive experience during complex projects and implementations for external clients in the Thomson Reuters Corporates industry. Responsibilities include managing project planning, design, progress, and closure, holding staff accountable, and serving as the primary contact for external and internal stakeholders.

ONESOURCE provides tax software solutions for multinational corporations and accounting professionals, covering taxes such as Direct Tax Compliance, Indirect Tax, Tax Planning, and Workflow Management.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Client Project Management, the Client Project Manager will:

1. Manage multiple projects across all phases.
2. Deliver projects within scope, time, and cost constraints.
3. Define and manage smaller projects with minimal supervision.
4. Maintain regular contact with clients via email, phone, meetings, or onsite visits.
5. Bring together internal teams to scope projects and provide alternatives if needed.
6. Set and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Lead Waterfall projects with an Agile approach, facilitating stakeholder meetings.
8. Serve as the main client contact and coordinate internally.
9. Manage implementation plans, scope, resources, and documentation.
10. Collaborate with internal teams to meet deadlines and address concerns.
11. Gain product knowledge to perform hands-on work when necessary.
12. Scope projects based on business requirements.
13. Recommend system configurations and business processes.
14. Identify upsell opportunities.
15. Contribute to developing new offerings and internal processes.

Key Relationships:

• Work with partners on ONESOURCE Indirect Tax projects, including SAP integration.
• Engage with other Thomson Reuters teams for end-to-end solutions.
• Develop internal relationships across the organization.

About You

We seek a self-motivated individual with indirect tax experience, focusing on implementations and project management of Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax solutions. The role involves managing technical client engagements and collaborating with technical teams and end users.

Candidates should have:

• Experience in client-facing project management, including with senior leadership.
• Experience managing large, complex technology projects (preferred).
• Knowledge of Tax Engine or related systems (preferred).
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, especially Oracle Fusion.
• Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability.
• Experience in process analysis and re-engineering.
• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Creativity, flexibility, and ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Negotiation and influence skills.
• Risk management capabilities.
• Track record of completing projects on time and within scope.
• Ability to support global teams across time zones.
• Project Management certification (preferred).
• Availability for hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in-office).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (certifications preferred).
