Job description

Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end‑to‑end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

Home Decarbonisation

We’re working to eliminate fuel poverty, providing end‑to‑end management in energy efficiency and carbon reduction. Our team works closely with homeowners and local authority partners to provide home energy advice to prepare for Net Zero. You’ll be part of our Home Decarbonisation team, working across community programmes designed to support households most in need.

As our Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the successful planning and delivery of projects, bringing together clients, colleagues and delivery partners to achieve the right outcomes. You’ll play an important role in keeping projects on track, ensuring we meet our contractual commitments while maintaining a strong focus on performance, quality and the customer experience.

What will you be doing?

You’ll take ownership of the successful planning and delivery of projects, making sure we meet our contractual commitments, performance targets and customer expectations. Working closely with clients, internal teams and delivery partners, you’ll keep projects moving, identify challenges early and bring the right people together to resolve them.

  • Planning, managing and overseeing projects from mobilisation through to successful delivery
  • Monitoring performance against contractual KPIs, objectives and key project milestones
  • Developing and managing customer demand and referral pipelines through internal channels and external partners
  • Managing project forecasts, budgets and cashflow, maintaining a clear understanding of overall financial performance
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and supporting successful partnership delivery
  • Defining and overseeing customer journeys to ensure customers receive a consistent, high‑quality experience
  • Coordinating internal teams and supply chain partners, addressing issues and removing blockers that could impact delivery
  • Producing regular performance reports, analysing data and using insights to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensuring projects meet required compliance, quality assurance and audit standards
  • Providing guidance, training and ongoing support to colleagues involved in project delivery
  • Proactively identifying risks and delivery challenges and working collaboratively to keep projects on track
What you’ll bring
  • A project management qualification, a willingness to work towards one, or at least two years’ relevant project delivery experience
  • A strong delivery focus, with the ability to identify challenges, resolve blockers and keep projects progressing
  • Experience managing and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, alongside excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to interpret project and performance information and use it to support effective decision‑making
  • A proactive and self‑motivated approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to support and guide colleagues involved in project delivery
