We’re working with a leading payroll bureau that’s scaling fast and they’re on the lookout for a Client Payroll Manager who knows how to keep both clients and their payrolls happy.

This isn’t just about running payrolls (though you’ll absolutely need to know your stuff). It’s about owning a portfolio of varied clients, building solid relationships, solving problems before they arise, and being the go-to expert for all things payroll. You’ll lead by example, mentor junior staff, and make sure the service always feels smooth, accurate, and genuinely helpful.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
  • Overseeing complex payrolls with confidence and accuracy
  • Supporting and guiding a small team of payroll pros
  • Acting as the key point of contact for client queries and escalations
  • Spotting opportunities to improve processes and service delivery

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong end-to-end UK payroll knowledge (multi-frequency experience a plus!)
  • Bureau or client-facing payroll experience is essential
  • Confident communicator with a natural customer-first mindset
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
