Overview

Job Description – Client Partner (Contract)

Location: UK (Remote, with occasional client site visits and quarterly travel to Bermuda)

Contract: 6 months (day-rate contractor)

Start: ASAP

We are a fast-growing software consultancy of 55 specialists, delivering digital products and data platforms for global (re)insurance clients. Our current client base includes two leading life reinsurance companies, with further growth opportunities in the pipeline. Having scaled beyond direct client oversight by the founding directors, we are now seeking an experienced Client Partner to drive account growth and strengthen our most important client relationships.

The Role

We are looking for a seasoned senior client executive who thrives at the intersection of strategic relationship management and account growth. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with C-suite and senior stakeholders, shaping strategic conversations and uncovering new opportunities that grow revenue and deepen partnerships.

Alongside the growth agenda, you will stay close to delivery: supporting our Delivery Lead to ensure alignment with client priorities, spotting opportunities or risks, and helping maintain trusted relationships across the client organisation. You will also work with a Director to shape account strategy and support Toucanberry’s wider sales efforts, including the development of client case studies and success stories.

This is a role for someone who brings industry insight, commercial drive, and executive presence to help our clients see the full potential of working with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead executive-level client engagement, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Identify, shape, and progress new business opportunities within existing accounts, aligned to client priorities and our growth objectives.
  • Work with a Director to manage and achieve account revenue targets.
  • Support Toucanberry growth initiatives by contributing to account strategy and feeding into sales pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to turn project outcomes into compelling case studies and client success stories.
  • Partner with the Delivery Lead to stay close to client roadmaps and priorities, providing an additional layer of insight and support.
  • Help delivery teams navigate stakeholder landscapes, ensuring opportunities for growth are surfaced and acted on.
  • Act as an ambassador for our consultancy’s brand, values, and long-term vision.
  • Travel occasionally to Bermuda (approx. quarterly) and to UK client sites.

About You

  • 10 years’ experience in consultancy, account management, or client partnership roles.
  • Proven track record of growing enterprise-level accounts, ideally in financial services, insurance, or reinsurance.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance relationship building and sales delivery.
  • Executive presence and credibility to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort operating in a fast-scaling consultancy environment.
  • Collaborative style, working seamlessly with delivery, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Excellent communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Contract Details

  • 6-month initial contract, with potential extension.
  • UK-based remote role, with occasional travel (UK clients Bermuda quarterly).
  • Competitive day rate
