Job description

Job Description

Join us as a Client Operations Funding Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in banking or treasury operations and reconciliation to join our business. We’ll look to you to produce and provide funding projections for Treasury and shared nostros across all currencies supported by the ring-fenced bank. You'll have the chance to liaise with colleagues across other teams and functions to facilitate continuous process improvements across the department. We're offering this role on a temporary basis until June 2026.

What you'll do
  1. Work to tight funding deadlines, providing and agreeing on short-dated funding requirements for G11, emerging markets, and minor currencies, as well as positioning cash demands for collateral, repo, and interest rate derivative activity.
  2. Perform post-value analysis, identify root causes of balances breaching internal and external thresholds, and investigate and reconcile funding sweep entries, taking corrective action to clear breaks.
  3. Validate and challenge account charges incurred due to positive and negative balances on Treasury and shared nostro accounts, ensuring all secondary nostro accounts and securities-linked cash accounts are swept within tolerance.
  4. Ensure over-account settlement accounts are appropriately funded and incorporated into funding projections.
  5. Assist with system development testing to facilitate the timely release of new functionalities.
  6. Maintain procedure manuals and daily process checklists for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Record KRIs and produce daily reports to provide management visibility.
  8. Work closely with the Treasury currency trading desk, middle office, and settlements teams.
The skills you'll need
  • Experience in banking or treasury operations and reconciliation.
  • Awareness of operational, liquidity, settlement, and financial risks, with an understanding of nostro accounts and investment bank products.
  • Experience within the finance industry, preferably in an operations environment.
  • Understanding of a risk and control environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and multi-task in a deadline-driven role.
