In a nutshell, the mission of a Client Onboarding Senior Associate is to be responsible for onboarding clients whilst adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring a smooth and exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake AML CDD reviews and risk assessments on both new to bank and existing customers.
  2. Manage the AML CDD portion of commercial business loan origination / Business Banking account setup.
  3. Communicate & collaborate effectively with customers of Oak North and internal stakeholders to ensure we are delivering Customer Delight.
  4. Manage customer expectations through effective communication skills whilst also ensuring we are working at speed and maintaining momentum.
  5. Operate in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.
  6. Mentor/supervise junior members of the Client Onboarding Team.
  7. Identify areas for improving processes to deliver improved efficiency.
  8. Carry out BAU / ad hoc administrative tasks.
  9. Leverage GenAI tools to increase productivity and enhance decision-making processes within the role.

Requirements:
  1. Experience working in the financial service sector (ideally in commercial lending or banking) with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  2. Working knowledge of unpacking complex corporate structures with connections to non-transparent jurisdictions including Trusts and funds in overseas jurisdictions (BVI, Channel Islands, Cayman Islands etc.).
  3. Ability to carry out tasks independently.
  4. Excellent understanding and experience of AML/KYC, CDD/EDD.
  5. Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Strong interpersonal and exemplary communication skills (written as well as verbal).
  7. Enjoys working in a team environment.
  8. Can prioritise and manage workflows and multi-task.
  9. Resilience and the ability to work under pressure and to pressing deadlines/SLAs.
  10. Desire to go the extra mile to delight our customers.
