As a Client Onboarding Associate, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience to every new client—ensuring they’re onboarded efficiently, compliantly, and with a level of service that sets us apart. You’ll combine regulatory rigour with a genuine commitment to making every interaction count.


Responsibilities:
  • We’re seeking a future team member to join our Client Onboarding function! As a Client Onboarding Associate, you’ll be responsible for onboarding clients whilst adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring a smooth and exceptional client experience.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Conduct AML/CFT Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews and risk assessments for both new-to-bank and existing customers.
  • Oversee the AML/CDD elements of Business Banking account setup, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Communicate and Collaborate effectively with OakNorth customers and internal stakeholders to deliver Customer Delight.
  • Manage customer expectations through clear, proactive communication, ensuring both speed of delivery and Momentum are maintained.
  • Operate in accordance with the Bank's Risk Management Framework and relevant compliance policies, escalating issues promptly to the line manager as required.
  • Perform BAU (business-as-usual) and ad hoc administrative tasks to support team objectives.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience working in the financial service sector (ideally in commercial lending or banking).
  • Working knowledge of unpacking complex corporate structures with connections to non-transparent jurisdictions.
  • Good understanding and experience of AML/KYC, CDD/EDD.
  • Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and exemplary communication skills (written as well as verbal).
  • Enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Can prioritise and manage workflows and multi-task.
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure and to pressing deadlines/SLAs.
  • Desire to go the extra mile to delight our customers.

Nice to haves:
  • Advanced excel knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of AEOI & FSCS requirements.
  • Experience working with private equity / real estate investment vehicles.
  • Ability to understand financial statements.
