Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson Limited is seeking a Client Marine Risk Consultant to work onshore/in office, with regular travel to UK ports and sites. Ideally based in Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth or Glasgow.

You will contribute to safe marine survey/construction projects, support mobilisations, risk assessments and project oversight, and liaise with internal teams and partners to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive safety experience in marine survey/construction operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK standards and regulations for marine survey and construction.
• Professional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detailed knowledge of risk assessment processes for marine activity.
• NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence due to travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist project and marine teams with advice to ensure safe implementation of Client's standards and expectations.
• Positively engage with internal project and marine teams and Contract Partners, both remotely and on site/in port.
• Review Contract Partner documentation to ensure timely and safe vessel mobilisations and ongoing performance.
• Attend and actively participate in risk reviews such as Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRAs) to provide marine safety expertise.
• Report to internal stakeholders of incidents, poor safety standards and/or behaviours on Contract Partner scopes to ensure issues are promptly resolved.

Job description

Client Marine Risk Consultant to be onshore/office based, ideally in one of four main locations (Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow). You will be expected to travel frequently, with regular short notice port visits across the UK.
You will have strong expertise in the safe execution of marine survey and/or construction projects. Experience will include supporting marine project procedure and risk assessment reviews, mobilisation readiness, and project oversight.

Responsibilities:
