Job summary

Puro Associates, in Leicester, is seeking a Client Manager for a UK accountancy practice. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients, preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns, and delivering high-quality management accounts and commercial advice.

You will act as the main client contact, review junior staff work, and drive timely delivery. A proactive, well-organised professional with ACA/ACCA is ideal.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified; applications from part-qualified or AAT candidates will not be considered.
• Experience in a UK accountancy practice with SME clients.
• Strong experience with SME accounts, VAT and management accounts.
• Confident managing client relationships and delivering to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially minded and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and VAT returns.
• Prepare and review management accounts.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and provide practical accounting and commercial advice.
• Review work completed by junior team members and support their development.
• Manage deadlines and ensure high-quality client delivery.
